Review of Harlan County U.S.A. (1977) by Chris . — 10 Apr 2008
Desperate and intense, but also rewarding and life-affirming, because it's true. Corporations are still as greedy and evil as they always were. But workers are as angry and defiant as they always were.
Movies like this remind workers that they aren't the first to fight corporations, and won't be the last. It also reminds them that they are not alone in that fight.
