Review of Hardwired (2009) by Deb S — 20 Nov 2009
I was quite excited when I saw Cuba Gooding Jr and Val Kilmer starring in this flick but I think they must have been tricked into working on this one.
It's nothing we haven't seen before. After a tragic auto accident claims his.
Wife and unborn child, Cuba wakes up in the hospital with no short term memory. He has no insurance (Wake up call America) and is used by this super rich corporation as a lab rat; He is implanted with a microchip and under constant observation by owner of the chip, Hope Industries CEO played by Val Kilmer.(what's up with his wig? It looked ridiculous and awful).
Occasionally this movie feels like a computer game with instructions ( just follow the bright lights..go here..nope behind you) where Cuba's only chance of survival lies in the hands of renegade hackers (a partially paralyzed guy called "Keyboard") and aided by two cyber punks (I'll call them green haired boy and red haired gal) Yeah, that's about it!
