An interesting idea, and not much else. The world is thinly-sketched, the female lead is overly made up, the music is hopelessly of its time, the lighting is obnoxious, and the plot is practically nonexistent.
By the time our heroine comes to a wild and unsupported conclusion about the origin of the robot that's built on no evidence whatsoever, I really didn't care anymore. It's as much of a mystery to me as the large positive reputation this thing has built up.
