Just came back from Hardcore Henry. I enjoyed the crap out of it! It was exactly what I expected and wanted and more. A balls to the wall, crazy as hell action movie with some added sci-fi flavor to boot and is freaking fun! I want to watch it again. No it's not Hamlet, why would you be looking for exquisite plot in something like this? Did you even see a trailer? Does one walk blindly into traffic? An white-haired a-hole holds Henry's wife hostage, Henry is in a cyborg body with crazy fighting skills, time to go literally nuts! That's all you need. If you take it for what it is, it's freaking awesome!! Also anyone familiar with story telling within the confines of video games (things like Mirror's Edge, Half-Life, Left4Dead, even COD) will be more than at home here, though it's more like watching a Let's Play vid than actually playing a game because duh, it's a movie. But don't get me wrong, the movie isn't dumb, and it isn't condescending to the audience. It knows what it is and it delivers and it wants you to have fun.

And once again Sharlto Copley is one heck of an actor and is definitely not afraid to go all the way. I enjoyed every moment he was on screen. He really has a knack for these a little bit out there sci-fi's. It's definitely his film at points. I think I can section off a part of my movie library and call it the "Copley Initiative". Hardcore Henry can now be added with the likes of District 9, Elysium, and Chappie.

If you want crazy fun, then go watch this movie.
