Review of Hardball (2001) by Mark B — 30 Dec 2009
** (out of our).
Keanu Reeves plays an addicted gambler. He isn't winning. In fact he's getting deeper and deeper in debt. He turns to his friend to get him out of his mess. The friend only agrees if he will coach a little league softball team.
The set up is a concoction that can only be made up in the movies. The plot goes exactly where it is expected to go and Reeves barely seems interested.
