Review of Hard Rain (1998) by Matthew F. J — 15 Jan 2014
This is a pretty classic thriller but the setting makes it a much more enjoyable film than it could have been. Taking place during a heavy rainy night, while the water rises to a dramatic level in this small country town of Indiana, a bunch of con men is trying to rob a cash truck.
Everything goes bad when the driver decides to hide the cash from the thieves and report the heist to the police.... This film has an incredible vibe of urgency due mostly to the fact the water raise all the time and things get harder and harder as the ilm goes.
It's one of the reason this film works so well & is so efficient. Hard rain stands as a good action film with a solid story & a great cast.
