It's hard to fault the little things, but the big things didn't get enough attention. Lovely photography and sensitive use of colour, nice use of long takes, convincing sense of seediness and alienation.
If only the larger story was more convincing. At times, it behaves as if there has never been a movie set in a casino before, when so many have done it better elsewhere.
