The acting and dialogue is wonderful. It's refreshingly simple and not convoluted at all despite its noirish aspects. I was afraid it might have been a bit of a Tarantino knock-off when I first put it on but it's fairly understated.
It has all of the satisfaction of reading a particularly well written short story.
