Review of Hard Candy (2005) by Cory C — 16 Feb 2011
Since when was a wide shot a bad thing? BACK THE CAMERA UP! Patrick Wilson was really good, very creepy, Ellen Page was alright. The Plot was good, it felt like it didn't need every scene it had. The camera doesn't always need to violently shake when someone is running, it looks good sometimes but not every single scene.
One more time, I'd like to say, BACK UP THE CAMERA. Close up shots on faces are effective from time to time but not for every shot of a character. There is very little body language visible to follow.
It was just alright, could have been a lot better.
