One seriously unforgettable thriller! "Hard Candy" is disturbing, intelligent, and almost unbearably suspenseful. The terror isn't in what Hayley is going to do to the accused pedophile Jeff.
It's the build-up and her quietly rage-filled words that make the movie get to you and make you squirm. With two unforgettable performances from Ellen Page and Patrick Wilson, "Hard Candy" may be hard to sit through, but it's a perfect exercise in Hitchcockian shock, with a certain scene that will stay with you for a long time.
