There are action movies... then there are arnie movies... and theres john woo movies...

Hard boiled is like an action movie on steroids! absolutely loved every minute of this movie. and I only found out about it playing its video game sequel "stranglehold." I had to get this movie from ebay all the way from singapore but it was worth it!

Yes it is old.

Yes the music is bit off to our generation.

BUT IT WAS AWESOME.

The story is simple and doesnt detract from the main star, the action. I love action movies, of course I do, im a 14 year old teenager and this is an old movie but still the action was the best I have seen and didnt show its age one bit. john woo is a master and im definately getting more of his hong kong movies now that ive seen this and face/off.

But the action is great john woo direct perfectly with his use of slow motion. shot guns literally sound like bombs exploding and in more than one occasion it is used to take out 3 guys at a time.

I dont think I ever ever heard a reload guns are fired madly its just so much fun to watch.

The story is the usual you get with action movies but its interesting enough to hold you so no complaints there I wasnt expecting more.

The music was the most out of date part about the movie unfortunately. feels very 80's although this movie was made in 1992. mostly blues music with a booming saxaphone which can get rather annoying....

But it was still awesome and I recommend this to everyone in need of an awesome action movie even if you cant get it in australia do what I did, get it on ebay. spectacular...
