Review of Hard Boiled (1992) by Chad P — 16 Jul 2010

I finally got around to checking this one out. I think it was way too over-hyped, being called by many the greatest action film of all time. The first half moved too slow for me, but the second half was indeed awesome, it was pretty risky for John Woo to have basically half of the film consist of the "final action location".

There were some very impressive action sequences, especially that single shot scene from one floor to the next, I don't know how they managed to do that. A bit too much slow motion and flashbacks, but other than that, it's a very entertaining action film.

But I don't think I'd call it the greatest of all time.
