Review of Hard Boiled (1992) by Ryan P — 10 Dec 2012
John Woos's last Hong Kong film before he came to Hollywood is nothing short of sensational. Screw the plot, the show here is the action sequences. The climax involving a hospital bloodbath has to go down in my books as one of the most remarkable set pieces I've ever seen, so epic (albeit brainless) that you should watch the movie if only for that.
I agree with many others that this is one of the greatest action movies ever made! The hype for it has been well justified for me. What a glorious mess. As far as action genre goes, this baby delivers big time.
