Review of Happythankyoumoreplease (2011) by David Ray G — 06 Feb 2011
Absolutely adorable. I generally dislike romantic comedies, but this just had a different...flavor about it. The characters were genuine and honest and real - and the performances by everyone were so good that not for a moment did I think these weren't real people.
Their chemistry constantly authentic, and the relationships between the characters were so heart-warming. And where to start when it comes to the soundtrack? I'd watch this movie twice just to listen to the amazing music.
Reminded me of the soundtrack Wes Anderson usually has in his films - or the soundtrack Garden State had. Simply marvelous and sweet film. The less complicated, less pretentious, more wonderful version of New York, I Love You.
I know it wasn't that good, but little do I care! I cried and laughed and sympathized with the characters and wanted to go get myself loved! More please!
