Review of Happy-Go-Lucky (2008) by Caleb C — 17 Jun 2009

I couldn't say that this was a perfect film by any means. The acting however is superb and altogether there should have been oscar nominations for Sally Hawkins and especially Eddie Marsan who plays the driving instructor.

There where parts of this film I found to be beautiful in a way and also a bit disturbing. Sally Hawkins, character Polly, is one of the most intriging and interesting characters I have seen on film in a while.

This film is filled with humor, drama and surprises. If you have a love for the independant film scene or just like comedy drama's in general then this one is one to not miss. One of the best films of 2008.
