Review of Happy-Go-Lucky (2008) by Jamie N — 12 Mar 2010
Mike Leigh's not exactly known for making films of a cheery nature, and of course there's some dark as well as light over the course of this movie's running time. Channelling Catherine Tate, Sally Hawkins is the happy-go-lucky title character who meets her misfortunes as a London primary school teacher with a smile and wry remark.
Another interesting character study from Leigh.
