Honestly I was pretty bored throughout a majority of the movie. I only really got interested within the last 30 minutes or so. There's no real plot in this movie, for one thing. There's just Poppy, her friends and family, and random situations that she's in. It seems they just put her in a flamenco class and driving lessons just so we can see how she acts. It's about Poppy's personality more than an actual plot. The movie has no real, observable direction and that bothered me once I figured it out.

Poppy could be pretty annoying, too. That laugh. Goodness. I almost turned it off at the chiropractor scene because I had nearly had it up to here. I like happy movies with good/happy endings. The bubbliness didn't bother me. But the movie was just very irritating at times.

You know, this actually reminds me of the British version of "All About Steve". What tipped me off was the main characters' crazy boots and the very upbeat attitude. Not sure which one came first, but my guess is that it was "Happy-Go-Lucky". Both annoyed me but at least there was some kind of interesting drama at the end of this one. I also didn't quite understand the relationship between her and her flatmate. I thought they were just best friends, but then the driving instructor seemed to be asking Poppy if they were more and she didn't correct him... but then Poppy started dating that social worker and her flatmate didn't react negatively. So I wished that could have been cleared up more.
