Review of Happy Gilmore (1996) by Bradley W — 04 Jan 2014
Happy Gilmore is Adam Sandler's best film to date, with his comedic timing and supporting cast providing everything needed for a good comedy. This is one of those few Adam Sandler movies that proved at one time, he was great.
I can honestly say that I really enjoy this movie and have watched it several times, with each time being as funny as the last. How can you not love seeing Adam Sandler getting the crap beat out of him by Bob Barker? Its just a series of stupid and hilarious moments that make an incredible guilty pleasure.
This movie made Sandler a star, and it always reminds me of why I have a soft spot for him. I just wish he could make movies like this now, instead of the awful garbage he gives us now. Either way, I will always have this timeless comedy classic to keep me company.
