Review of Happy Accidents (2000) by Rachel W — 27 Aug 2006
I loved Marisa Tomei's performance. She totally captured the relationship angst, wanting to pull your hair out frustration, that you can have when dealing with your romantic partner. She was really funny, especially at the scene where she finds out about "Christine Delancey". I think it was funny how she'd insert her jealous raging on this topic throughout the movie...very similar to how we women act in relationships ....
The only thing is I'm so confused by the ending. I'm trying to figure out how he came about her life and find her in particular. He lied so much in the movie, it's hard to keep up with what's real. Did he really find her in the "Accidents" file and decide to go to her present and change her outcome? Did he somehow know her in another past? Man, I have time -travel stories, it's really confuddling!
