Review of Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters (2013) by Max M — 14 Dec 2013
A new idea based from the Grimm fairy tale Hansel & Gretel. Now while we've had before this Abraham Lincoln fighting both vampires and zombies and now Hansel & Gretel:Witch Hunters which is overall a fun action packed horror comedy flick about two siblings (hansel & gretel of course) after their incident in their childhood with the witch they decide to become witch hunters so that they take down any bad witch they could find, while now children have gone missing and abducted by witches and the main witch played by Famke Janssen (whom does not let anything get in her way) and so now Hansel & Gretel get to kick some witch booty.
Now while Hansel & Gretel:Witch Hunters is not the best movie I have seen but it knows what it is, and it also has decent special effects even if it was CGI it wasn't even that noticeable and also for it being a horror comedy action flick the horror and comedy elements actually worked and both the effects and humor had kind of reminded me of the Evil Dead movies a little bit.
Anyway Hansel & Gretel:Witch Hunters isn't the most perfect movie in the world but it is still a good fun time.
