Review of Hansel and Gretel (1988) by Tobias J — 06 May 2011
This was not your average Hansel and Gretel. First off, they have their own mother, not a step-mother, and she is rather loving though slightly cranky about starving to death. Anyway, this version was a song and dance with cheery but also eerie moments.
The food in this movie was mouth-watering! A nice take on the classic Brothers Grimm fairy tale with especially great acting by the witch.
