Review of Hannibal Rising (2007) by Lianna E — 10 Oct 2011
Personally, I liked this film. And to me, what made it better was that Thomas Harris (who wrote the original book, mind you) wrote the screenplay. I think a lot of people went into this, just waiting for a psychological mind game like the other movies and were sadly disappointed.
Here's the fact, folks. Except for some minor details, this movie followed the book pretty much spot on. So if you liked the book and you say you hate the movie, you might want to rewatch it. Of course, most people could just prefer Anthony Hopkins over Gaspard Ulliel.
I like them both and this is a movie I would watch again and again. If we want to talk a murdered movie in the series, let's talk Hannibal (the film).
