Review of Hannibal (2001) by Nic O — 07 May 2014
A once-fascinating character is transformed into a slasher-movie cartoon in this tone-deaf, two-bit thriller that absolutely revels in sadistic, gory violence. Hopkins is still a compelling performer, but he's stranded in a thoroughly disgusting movie that takes giddy delight in Hannibal's anti-hero antics.
