Review of Hannibal (2001) by Miguel S — 03 Jul 2010
It's not as bad as the critics wants us to believe. Ridley Scott's "Hannibal" is certainly not as intriguing as Jonathan Demme's "Silence of the Lambs", but it's by no means a bad film. Just misunderstood.
Anthony Hopkins as Dr. Hannibal Lecter is great as always. Julianne Moore does a decent performance as agent Clarice Starling, although it would have been miles better with Jodie Foster reprising her role.
The first half is a bit boring and there isn't much interaction with Lecter and Starling as there could have been, but it gets better towards the end. Ridley Scott made a decent motion picture and it's definately worth a watch or three.
