Review of Hannibal (2001) by Janet K — 12 May 2012
A good thriller, but not a good sequel. It ruins some of the most mysterious aspects of Silence of the Lambs, and without Foster it just doesn't feel like Clarice. This film is also filmed in a much more slick style then the original which detracts a bit from the originals spooky atmosphere.
Yet an amazing and chilling performance from Gary Oldman makes it a worthwhile watch.
