Making a movie of the Hannibal itself seems like a bad idea,as he needs a character to interact with and develop his plot or story, whatever he does. Althrough there is a character, it simply can keep up with Hopkins and has none of the charm that Hopkins and Foster had.
But still, the story is quite good and Hannibal does his thing.
