Review of Hannibal (2001) by Kyle S — 08 Aug 2014
Lazy, moody, sloppy, overly violent and just plain weird. Hannibal descends as one of Ridley Scott's better known flops as he tries to make a gritty and dark sequel to the masterpiece Silence Of The Lambs.
I can honestly say that Anthony Hopkins and Julianne a Moore are the only ones fun to watch asides from Gary Oldman who has incredible makeup by the way. But those three are the only good performances.
All the other supporting actors fall flat and that's kinda disappointing. This wasn't that great. Yet it is still worth it to check it out if you want to be familiar with Ridley Scott and/or the "Hannibal Lecter movie mythos".
But overall, not a great watch.
