Review of Hannah Montana: The Movie (2009) by Hayley C — 26 Nov 2009
First off, I have never seen an episode of the show, so the "best of both worlds" thing (and we're not talking Smith style here!) confused me, but the opening actually does a decent job of covering it, but I can't help but wonder how stupid it really is.
Throughout the whole movie, all we witness is how her being both Miley and Hannah just ruins her life, and I while I get the idea, it's an amazingly stupid idea. Unfortunately, the movie doesn't have much else going for it, and half of it felt like a TV show and the other felt like a real movie, just not a good or smart one.
It was an exercise in tedium for me, and while not the worse movie I have ever seen, easily one of the dumbest. Why couldn't she just reschedule her date as Miley since she knew she had to go to the mayor's house as Hannah at the same time? Ohh, logic, don't bring that here.
Also, at the end she talks about she hurt lots of people, and I do not understand how she did. But, I did not understand most of the movie.
