Review of Hannah and Her Sisters (1986) by Elliott F — 14 Aug 2010
I found Hannah and Her Sisters a spiritual roller coaster; whether that was my mindset before starting the film is up for grabs, but I guess all that matters is that I was deeply moved in a way I was not expecting.
Woody Allen regularly makes hilarious yet touching films, and this one is no different. Featuring some great one-liners, some excellent performances (Dianne Wiest is spectacular), and more serious material than standard Woody fare, Hannah and Her Sisters is a triumph in every way.
