Review of Hannah and Her Sisters (1986) by Hannah B — 06 Jan 2011
Woody Allen is a very good director and writer but there's something ultimately lacking here. Its not that funny, it's not that moving, it's not that interesting. A typically Allenesque bunch of new yorkers have affairs, write books, psychoanalyse each other, the men behave like boys, the women are either petulant or motherly and despite me having a thoroughly unhealthy love for Dianne Wiest this film was very disappointing.
