Review of Hanna (2011) by Stuart K — 23 Apr 2012
Hanna begins with a very intriguing start. It comes off with great potential and sets a fantastic mood. However, for the second half of the film, the plot and the characters start falling apart, and things get messy.
Eric Bana once again performs half-heartily and consequently does not give the audience a chance to "feel" his character. Cate Blanchett and Saoirse Ronan blow their parts out of the water. Although the movie begins with great promise, it has an anticlimactic ending and very comedic villains who are merely single-faced.
The film is enjoyable entertainment, but nothing more.
