Review of Hanna (2011) by Wendy K — 16 May 2012
Solid revenge thriller of the Bourne flavor. "Hanna" is different because its a tiny blonde who is doing the ass kicking. I actually asked myself during the film..."is she that good of a fighter?" and "could I kick her ass if I had to?" probably not.
but thats beside the point. "Hanna" is a very different film in a lot of ways, from the sexually ambiguius assassin that Cate Blanchetts character hires to find Hanna, to the English family that unknowlingly gets involved with the story because they give her a ride.
Its good though. Very good. Its just has a certain coolness and style that you dont get with most films of this genre.
