Review of Hang 'em High (1968) by Ryan — 16 Nov 2008
It's an American film that tries to imitate Clint's spaghetti westerns. The result is all right. It's not one of Eastwood's best, but I enjoyed the moral ambiguity at play (I didn't expect the big hanging scene to end the way it did).
Pat Hingle has a nice role as the judge, and if you pay close attention, you'll spot Mark Lenard (Sarek in Star Trek lore) and Dennis Hopper in cameos.
