Review of Hang 'em High (1968) by Thomas B — 30 Mar 2013
First Clint Eastwood vehicle produced outside Europe also looks like an American attempt at recreating the successful spaghetti western style, but it comes across as weak and dull especially in comparison.
An innocent cowboy miraculously escapes his hanging and sets out to find the people that should have been hung instead of him. It's not a cliché film and quite a spin on the justice theme in western.
However, it does have many weak spots and too sloppy an ethical message getting in the way of the fun.
