Review of Hang 'em High (1968) by Randy T — 10 Nov 2009
Clint's first American Western is good in a conventional sort of way. It lets Clint hit his strong points as an actor, and it keeps a good pace (in fact, some of the scenes transition a little too quickly, as though we're skipping half of a chapter).
But what it lacks is a master like Sergio Leone behind the camera. The direction is solid but not daring.
