Review of Hancock (2008) by Smith G — 09 Oct 2014
Very interesting film, and it problably shows what a real superhero would be like in this world all alone. It has some great action, the effects are good and it has some good humor that dosen't go overboard.
Will Smith is a great actor, the right choice for the role. Hik being a drunk and not being able to get his life together is likely what it would be like to be him. The part were he goes to prison and waited for the people to be begging for his return is cool, because he could easily break out it he wants but dosen't because staying could lead to his acceptance and gratitude from the public.
The film all makes sense and is doing really good, until we realize that the wife is also like him, and that they are both gods and meant to be with each other. They then have a massive fight ad a storm forms above them.
It this point the film had taken a turn for the worst. It would have been far better off had his powers been simply not explained, and the ending be different. But the ending was good, mostly because the god related stuff didn't really make a difference, but it was a good action sequence.
It's a good film, and I try to keep it at an high rating because it mostly deserves it apart from the stupid plot twist of there being others and that their actually gods but he didn't know.
