Review of Hamlet (1990) by Janna L — 20 Feb 2011
Not as great as I remember it from first seeing it in the 1990s, but definitely worth watching. The cast is fantastic, especially Mel Gibson and Helena Bonham Carter. I've read and seen Hamlet numerous times, but this adaptation still made me laugh a few times.
I am not going to compare it to anything else that is out there, but I definitely think this movie does justice to my favorite WS tragedy.
