Review of Hamburger Hill (1987) by Jim F — 27 Jun 2011
Decent Vietnam war movie, with a modest but suitable cast. The movie depicts the ups and downs of the army unit very well, with some good sentiment and banter within the camp that is actually engaging and not over the top as some movies like this could portray it.
Emotions run high with most characters at some point in this movie and then they get over it. A well made movie, with well made battle scenes. Should be sat right up there with the best of the Vietnam movies of all time.
