Review of Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers (1995) by Kevin R — 17 Apr 2011
Tonight's going to be a killer.
A religious cult captured Mike Myer's niece in the last Halloween picture. When the niece has a baby, the cult hopes to cultivate that baby into another Mike Myers. The family that originally adopted the niece still lives in the Myers home. When Mike Myers is released to obtain the baby, the life of the family in his old house and everyone between him and the baby is at risk.
"The best sex he ever dismembered.".
Joe Chappelle, director of The Skulls II, Phantoms, and Takedown, delivers Halloween 6: The Curse of Michael Myers. The storyline for this picture is weird and did not seem very realistic. Supposedly Mike Myers was created by a cult that captured the theory of pure evil from the markings of a sideways witch's hat and transferred it into Mike Myers as a child. They now wish to do it again and somehow have control over Myers.
"It's raining red. It's warm.".
The acting in this film is fairly good for a horror movie and the cast includes Paul Rudd, Donald Pleasence, Marianne Hagan, Mitch Ryan, and J.C. Brandy. The plot was frustrating and the premise is a bit ridiculous, but the death scenes are fascinating and plenty gory. This movie is worth watching if you are a fan of the slasher genre but nothing special overall.
"Mike Myers in space.".
Grade: C-.
