Review of Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers (1995) by Mark O — 30 Mar 2008
This sixth instalment of the Halloween films throws all logical plotting out the window, along with any trace of what made the original such a classic. Gone is the tension and atmosphere of the earlier films and in its place is a nonsensical story involving evil cults, characters you donâ??t care about, and every cliché you can think of from the horror movie handbook.
Donald Pleasence (reprising his role of Dr. Loomis one last time) does what he can with his limited screen time, and Paul Rudd is adequate as the slightly oddball Tommy, but their performances canâ??t save this from being a mess.
