Review of Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers (1995) by Andrew D — 22 Jun 2012
The Halloween franchise has finally hit the supernatural peak, in which (like Jason Goes to Hell and Freddy's Dead) it brings in elements of the supernatural to tell the next chapter of the franchise.
This addition involves Celtic rituals, ancient runes, and something called the Thorn Curse which means that Michael must kill ALL members of his family in order to save a tribe. How the hell does that make ANY sense?!?! Also, this film is Paul Rudd's break into stardom.
He should be lucky that he made it into other films because his acting was TERRIBLE in this movie! This is a chapter that shouldn't have existed, but (thanks to Moustapha Akkad) it did. If you want to see the best that Halloween can be, watch the 1978 original, its sequel (Halloween II (1981)), and Halloween H20.
