Review of Halloween III: Season of the Witch (1982) by Lloyd D — 31 Jan 2010
After blowing Myers up the makers of the film went for a different idea and thu many down this film its rather decent for what they tried to do. A madman plots mass murder on Halloween using mask and anchinet magic to deliver his point.
The acting is top notich and the direction borrows some interesting ideas including cyborgs. The kills are impressive but oddly the DVD is cut of some scenes present in the uncut VHS M rated version which is stupid as they were hardly sexual nor cruel and were tame compared to stronger films.
The VHS version gets 4 stars but the DVD version only 3. The ending feels rushed and it falls apart during the final act like they wanted to rush things along to get the film out. The Jingle """ more days till Halloween" will stick in your head as its rather catchy.
