Review of Halloween III: Season of the Witch (1982) by Victor T — 14 May 2016
After revisiting the black sheep of the "Halloween" franchise, due to some people consider it a cult film, I just wonder what the hell were they talking about?
Normally I would write a review but in this occasion I would just quote a podcast I follow (Now Playing Podcast):
Guy who is pitching the idea to the studio: "Instead of a crazy killer, we are going to have Irish people, and because it's Halloween what do you think more than a shamrock? The Irish are going to steal a rock from Stonehenge, which is not in Ireland, and they would use this rock to make masks to kill kids".
Producer: "No, only if it works with computers, because that's what the kids like, so make sure it uses a computer chip and a Stonehenge rock.".
Guy who is pitching the idea to the studio: "Ok. The hero will be a doctor who is a sex addict and a drunk, and we will include androids too".
Producer: "Sold!".
Do you really need to review a film with that "rock-solid premise"? That speaks for itself.
