Review of Halloween III: Season of the Witch (1982) by Jeremy D — 06 Oct 2012
Many people diss the film for having no Michael, and that's because after the first two movies, Carpenter and Hill wanted to go for a new feel in the series, turning it into an anthology. If it continued this way, "Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers" would have never been made.
The fans wanted Michael back, so that's exactly what they did. Now, I'm not going to sugarcoat this in any way, what you are about to read is my honest opinion. It wasn't that bad. One week before Halloween, Harry Grimbridge (Al Berry) is wounded and stumbles into a hospital, where he gets treatment from Dr.
Dan Challis (Tom Atkins). Later, Grimbridge is killed by a mysterious man in black. His daughter, Ellie (Stacey Nelkin), wants to find out the truth and enlists Dr. Challis' help. I thought it was entertaining, certainly not anything special or oscar-worthy, but it's a fun movie to poke some fun at.
If you want a laugh, rent it. Rating: 3/5.
