Review of Halloween III: Season of the Witch (1982) by Bradley K — 30 Oct 2013
An... INTERESTING movie. In attempt to make the halloween franchise rise above the typical slasher genre, the idea was to take an anthology approach and have each film take place on Halloween night but all tell a different story.
This one involves witch robots, sneaking a piece of Stone henge through customs, microchips and biting satire against mass consumerism turning hokey halloweens of today into the sacrifices of pagan religion.
Not exactly a GOOD movie but at the same time not exactly a boring one. It's a noble effort but ultimately misguided. It tries to be Night of the Demon, James Bond and Stepford Wives all in one, if that sounds like an interesting sandwich to you I say it's worth a watch.
