Review of Halloween II (1981) by Simg — 30 Aug 2009
I can't say I hated this movie, nor liked it. The psycho elements around Myers and his family was interesting approach, but the extremes in personality changes reached by the characters of Lorie and Loomis took me away from the story.
That and the fact that Myers grunts when he kills people. Maybe it's just me, but I always saw Myers as a ghost and hearing him felt like braking the character. Honestly, I didn't care seeing Jason running in the remake, but I mind hearing a voice on Myers.
Overall, the movie isn't bad, I just think it's a shame that Zombie didn't manage to bring his version to the Halloween story where it should've go. Feels like he ran out of gaz.
