Review of Halloween II (1981) by Stephen L — 18 Jun 2009
While obviously not in the same league as Halloween, the sequel does a decent job of portraying 'more of the night he came home'. The film works well as a side-piece to the original due to its similar tone and style, and Carpenter's script and score elevate the film to a higher level.
Much has been said about the films increased violence compared to Halloween, but it's one of the few things that stops it from being a completely carbon copy.
