I definitely one of those who prefer the 1981 version to the 2018. Although I think that's a better film this one is way more fun, sleazy and entertaining. Picking up right after the events of the first film Laurie is rushed to the hospital where Michael follows and continues his killing spree.
It also revealed that Laurie is his sister. The film has a great dread induced atmosphere and some great shocks. But there is an air of ridiculousness about it. Some of the kills feel very silly like the iv death.
That being said the cinematography is great and its very fun.
