Review of Halloween H20: 20 Years Later (1998) by Ian I — 16 Feb 2017
Not bad, but not good or great either. They bring back the character of Laurie Strode played by Jamie Lee Curtis (YES!) But they also make it a more action orientated Halloween film, with very few scares or suspenseful moments like some of the other films (NO!).
The cast and acting isn't bad with good cast members like Josh Hartnett (Pearl Harbor, Black Hawk Down) in his first film appearance as Laurie Strode's son. It also features Michelle Williams (My Week With Marilyn), Adam Arkin (Sons of Anarchy Season 2), and LL Cool J (NCIS: Los Angeles, SWAT), and a young Joseph Gordon-Leavitt.
It also has a somewhat new story, but still seems somewhat like something we've seen before. Even though its not a bad film. I recommend it if you still want to see more of Laurie Strode's story.
But if you've ever seen halloween 4 or 5 it doesn't explain anything about how Laurie had Jamie.
