Review of Halloween H20: 20 Years Later (1998) by Ethan C — 26 Oct 2018
It may be the seventh movie in the franchise but Halloween H20 is surprisingly well made. It wipes the storyline clean and starts a new, Jamie Lee Curtis is back in a fantastic performance as Laurie Strode, and although some of the side characters are a bit bland the performances are pretty decent to make up for this.
The storyline though not as strong as the original works, it's simple yet effective and delivers on a powerful ending. One huge issue I do have with this film though is the Michael Myers mask, I don't understand why but the mask always looks different after Halloween 2 despite the simple design, there is even a scene where Michael is shown in a cgi mask and it does not look good.
